How to Fish Pufferfish: carrot bait, then kite the trees

Desert’s story gate is the tourist under the tree. A Needlefish on Standard Lure becomes a carrot. After the fight, the fin — not a random cooked fish — opens Rocks.

Grow it, then pin the roll on wood.

Official footage of the Desert fight is this still: two guns, a huge model, dynamite on the bar. Coconut trunks are the kite, not a hiding spot you hug.

Arena rules
  1. Give the tourist an endangered-tagged Needlefish. Equip the carrot.
  2. The lower its health, the bigger the model. Early dynamite makes it easier to hit and easier to pin on coconut trunks.
  3. Circle the trees so the roll eats wood, not you. Do not hug the trunk or you get stuck too.
  4. After half health it leaves a purple fog. Do not chase along the path it just took. Buy SMG mag size and a suppressor first if you can.

Why you grow it on purpose

A tiny puffer is hard for an SMG to track. Community fighters dump dynamite first so the hitbox is huge and the coconut trees actually catch it. That is the opposite of a “save explosives for later islands” instinct.

Fog is a no-follow zone

Half-health poison sits on the ground behind the boss. Keep kiting on fresh ground. Greedy spray through the trail is how the fight ends even when the gun is upgraded.
