How to Fish Reel of Fortune: Drip in, skin out

Reel of Fortune is the island slot machine. It takes a Drip creature body, not coins from the casino tables. GOLD GOLD GOLD is the Steam achievement for a legendary skin from that machine.

WATCH THE NAME

Slots want Drip. The grill wants food.

Pause the walkthrough on an island with a slot machine. Rainbow / Drip bodies are the Reel of Fortune input. Cooking them for 1.5x wastes the skin roll.

  • Keep Drip off the grate.
  • GOLD GOLD GOLD is the jackpot line.
  • Fund the engine before you gamble.

How to feed the machine
  1. Catch a Drip (rainbow name on a normal species).
  2. Kill it. Collector is the normal bestiary; Fishipedia is all Drips.
  3. Find that island’s Reel of Fortune.
  4. Put the Drip body in and spin. The skin pool depends on the island.

Do not dump your first Drip at the Lighthouse

GameRant’s island pool: Lighthouse machine rolls Brass Knuckles and Knife skins. Island 3’s machine can roll Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, boat and fishing-rod skins. Save an early Drip for a later island unless you only want melee cosmetics.

This is not the roulette table

All in is a separate achievement (bet green on roulette). Reel of Fortune wants a Drip corpse. Gambling coins in the casino does not roll weapon skins and can wipe the upgrade fund.

Screen frozen or blank while rolling

Patch 1.0.5 fixed slot-machine skins that stayed invisible at 4K while rolling. If the display still dies, community reports say restart the session. The machine is optional; story islands do not require a skin.
